We went to the pub for the first time tonight. They had special offers of 2 for £5 - and what we got was good. The service was also good...well worth it

We absolutely love the food here!! I'm very fussy and everythings always been perfect for me especially! Something to cater for everyone. Although I do believe kiddies should NOT be allowed, as they are often disruptive and ruin the experience for the vast majority of others. That said, a lovely pub, good food and drinks. Keep up the good work!

Yeh! We had our Christmas works dinner here but it was awful. No cranberry sauce asked waiter he said he would ask the manager if he could go to tesco to get some. A few months ago i started hearing better things so we went back for our monthly pub lunch. We have had the odd hiccup (pardon the pun) but it's been dealt with promptly and the staff are funny. we now go back every month. Ask for the offers they are not always on display
Oh dear. Almost got everything right! The drinks were great value, bitter at less than 2, and lagers staring from about 2.10, good wine selection for a local and very cheap doubles bar, with branded spirits and everything. That is until I ordered the food! Although reasonably priced, this is no 'foodie' pub, the menu is very steak oriented however it would appear that the chef has yet to meet a cook book. I have eaten at the pub twice times in the last month (thought the first may be somebodys 1st day), I ordered a medium sirloin steak and received a well done rump - with about 6 chips and a heap of what appeared to be shredded nuked onion. Anybody can have an off day, so the second time I made it a bit easier with good old pie and chips, the pie was pretty much uncooked, except for the cremated top crust, and the rest of the pastry was wet, accompanied by more of what tasted like the local chippies scraps. Other than that, friendly atmos and lovely staff - unless you complain. Come on chaps, just the kitchen lets you down

Food quality has gone downhill drastically, most bar staff have attitude, and kitchen staff seem to have trained at mcdonalds
Southampton is a vibrant modern seaport alive with its rich maritime heritage, cultural diversity, wealth of tempting shops ...
